Games & Sports is an integral part for the overall development of the child. The students of this vidyalaya participated in the various games organized by K.V. S. Our Vidyalaya organises inter house competitions in Racing ,Footbal, Cricket, Volleyball and Basketball for girls.

REGIONAL LEVEL SPORTS MEET 2011

  • In football (U-14) Boys got II position Selection of four players for KVS National at Chandigarh
  • In football (U-19) Boys got II position Selection of fiver players for KVS National at Chandigarh and one for SGFI in GOA     (Master Tage Pilya-XD)
  • Boys (U-17 & 19) particpataed in Boxing and got 1st Position and two selected for KVS National and one for SGFI in Delhi (Master Tinglam Nukbu XIID)
  • Five Gold, four Silver & seven Bronze  in Athletics
  • One student Master Tage Saa participated in International Karate Championship and got Gold.

 

 CLUSTER LEVEL SPORTS MEET Aug 2011

The two day sports meet began amidst drizzle on 5th of August, 2011. The host Principal, Dr K. K. Pandey, inaugurated the grand event. In his inaugural speech he reminded the participants to take on the games in the right spirit. He emphasised on the point that winning is second to spirit.

The first event of the day was football. The spectators grew in numbers and the town heard the crescendo. The first match was played between K. V. No. 1, Itanagar and K V Kimin, (under 19). K V 1 emerged victorious with 7 goals to 1 goal.

It was followed by a match between K V 1 and K V 2, (under 14). The result was 3 goals to 1 goal in favour of K V 1.

The third match saw K V 2, (under 19), scoring 5 goals against K V North Lakhimpur.

Finally at 4.15 pm K V 1 and K V 2, (under 19), played the grand finale. It was an exciting match. However, the result does not reflect the excitement it generated among the spectators. The final result was 5-0 in favour of K V 1. The Principal congratulated both the teams for the splendid performance. The first day of the meet got over.

The second day of the meet, i.e. 6th august, 2011 began amidst pleasant weather. The discipline on display was Kabaddi for boys and girls (under 19).

K V 1 competed against K V 2, girls (under 19). The match pulled a large number of spectators. The K V 2 girls performed exceedingly well and won over their opponents with a huge margin 39 to 16.

The second match was played between K V 1, boys (under 19) and the B- team of the same school. To the amazement of one and all, the B- team defeated the main team with a margin of 46 to 34.

All the participants, teachers, escorts assembled on the ground, clapped for the victorious teams and for the sportsmanship which was shown in the entire meet. Ultimately, the host Principal, Dr. K K Pandey declared the meet close and the national anthem was sung.
